The $8.49 rebozo.

Check it out:

It's a linen-rayon "fashion scarf" off the sale rack at Old Navy.  (Full price $12.50).

I don't know how durable it will be, but it just goes to show that babywearing does not have to be expensive or complicated.

It might last even longer tied in a kanga configuration in a torso carry since the force would be distributed differently. Depending on how much you like the color (and therefore care if it becomes discolored) you could probably wear it in the pool without much discomfort since the fabric is lightweight.

This is off topic, but are you still planning to go back and flesh out the six other “threads” you’re thinking of using for your history section next year? Or are they posted under a category other than history, and I’ve missed them? It would be much easier for me if you did the work, and I could just steal it. ๐Ÿ˜‰

  4. That’s adorable!! It’s super cute. I hope it lasts! I hope to be a bit more of a baby wearer with this second baby – out of necessity, for one!!

  5. Barbara,
I am REALLY BEHIND in school planning. I think I will be starting the year with more of a skeleton than a fleshed-out history program, and have to make more choices on the fly (which I’m getting better at). But I will post updates as I go.
