Well–I didn’t intend to be! As I’ve written over there before, my own husband is pretty terrific when it comes to spoiling me rotten on Mother’s Day.
But it made me sad last year to read about other women whose husbands ignore them on most “special occasions,” and sure enough, no sooner had I posted the first post when a gentleman reader put the “but my wife isn’t my mother!” objection in the comment box.
