I was just about to box up the last pair of size 14P — a pair of hiking pants from REI that I remember being on the snug side — when I remembered they still had a duty to perform.
I had some pants that would have made a more impressive photo, but since they were drawstring and always had to be "cinched" even at my largest, I figured that would be cheating. Tantamount to wearing maternity pants for the photo.
I will save one set of big maternity pants for comparison purposes if and when I am 9 months pregnant again.
I picked up five pairs of non-big pants from the alterations shop yesterday. I'm worth it now: no more rolling up the cuffs because I'm too cheap to pay for alterations, too embarrassed to ask friends or MIL for help hemming, and never get around to hemming things myself.
