Okay, I know it was kind of geeky to give my kids a set of closed-cell foam pattern blocks for bath toys. But they were really cheap, and… I don’t know what got into me, honestly.
Still, I think it was a good present:
He says it’s "Jesus’s cross."
I never imagined it with the multicolored marquetry, but it speaks to me, somehow.
They were an impulse buy in a toy store about three years ago. I did a Froogle search for “foam pattern blocks” — there are several items that might be what we have.
I do NOT have, nor do I recommend, the set of two thousand pattern blocks 🙂 I think we have about a hundred. You need to check your tub to make sure the narrow rhombuses don’t fit down the drain.
